I was having great problems while typing with my toshiba laptop. Everytime i type, my hand will accidentally touch touchpad and the cursor goes crazy interfering with my typing.
At last i am happy that there is a setting in my toshiba satellite laptop to disable tapping on my touchpad while typing. I am not sure this option is available with other laptops.
Just doubleclick
Touchpad Software > Advanced > Advanced feature settings > Pointer Speed & Tapping Settings > Tapping Setting > Check disable tapping while typing.
Thats it!
Now i am happy and comfortable while typing on my laptop

So i’ve got windows 7 on my tosh satellite L400D.
How do I get to the touchpad properties screen? I’ve been looking everywhere – I can tell you where it is in XP but can’t find it in Windows 7.
any clues

Glad you sorted touchpad, some are more sensitive than others. You may also adjust the sensitivity.
