Thinking of buying a laptop. I myself a good fan of different brands of notebooks and the following i would rate as top 5 notebook brands taking into consideration of overall factors such as battery life, weight, computing power and moree..

2. Sony VAIO Notebooks
3. HP Invent/Pavilion Notebooks
4. Toshiba Satellite
5. Acer / HCL brand

When you buy a laptop computer make sure that you double check the following and are so important…

1. Battery Backup (min 3hrs +)
2. Weight (should be light weight)
3. Wifi connectivity
4. DVD RW drive

If you are a gamer or perhaps you want to play heavy 3d games dont expect that your notebook to perform well as you have to keep in mind that notebooks are not meant of high definition gaming.
