Samsung monitor too much contrast problem

i have a strange problem with LCD widscreen monitors from samsung (one tv and other lcd monitor). i set the monitors to native resolution and it looks like it too much bright or contrast. its a new monitor and it seems to be hurting my eyes. i am facing this problem often and it really hurts my eyes.

i am a graphics designer and i find difference i gradients especially with blue colors on the monitors. it appears completely different with samsung and with other monitors. Here is how to fix the over brightness/contrast problem.

Go to custom mode and manually adjust the contrast and brightness of your monitor.

Contrast: 40
Brightness: 25

once you do that it should be possible to see the natural colors along with reduced eyestrain and would also go easy on your eyes.

  1. you can also adjust contrast and brightness using nvidia control panel > color correction. adjust the gamma, brightness and contrast to whatever you like
