I was literally confused for a long time and i couldnt take a decision on whether to buy an iphone or ipod touch. iPod touch is much cheaper and its interface is as good as the one in iphone. I decided to buy ipod touch so that i could enjoy internet, mail, video and music since i am not too much a phone user. I have other nokia phone doing the job.
I was fascinated with beautiful crystal clear display from ipod touch and it was so much fun to work with.
Here is what the main difference between the iphone and ipod touch.
iPod Touch
- No Camera
- No Phone and SMS
- No bluetooth
- No Microphone
- WiFI Internet Connectivity (does not support broadband connection that requires username/password)
- Has external speaker
- Has internet surfing, email and youtube.
- Its a bit less weight than iphone.
- Support for mail attachments (PDF, Word, Excel)iPhone
- Phone
- Camera
- Bluetooth
- External speaker
- Internet, Emails and Youtube.
- Microphone
- Support for mail attachments (PDF, Word, Excel) and more files.
- WiFI Internet Connectivity.
My verdict definitely is with iPod touch since it is not also cheaper but also you would have fun with it as much as iphone.

I actually lost my iPod Touch today so I was having a look at the second generation ones. I believe that Apple have a new hands-free set of headphones with a built in microphone that would allow the Touch to use VoIP. Pretty neat I thought.
