I recently got stuck in this boss fight and i am unable to kill The Warrior in City Gate – City of Light mission in the recently released Prince of Persia 2008. All the game said was
The Warrior cannot be harmed by sword or magic. Use the environment to kill him.
Here is how you kill the warrior in the fight:
The only way you can kill the warrior is by pushing him out from the edge of the floor. Keep attacking him with your sword (square button in ps3) and lure him to the edge of the floor and then allow him to attack you and wait until there is a scene that he will try to crush you with his foot. Elika will try to save you and you will be prompted to press the button continously to throw him out. Start pressing the button in slower repeats and you will need to increase that to faster repeats gradually, only then the warrior will be thrown out of the ciff.
In this way i killed him. Hope this helps!

When Elike try to save you from the warrior when he try to crusched the prince from his foot. wait till the message appears “press X” then keep your controller on the flat surface & keep pressing “X” repeatdily & see the result….. there you go….have fun

dude that fast slow thing doesent work at all u have 2 use a technique that i learned in nam ( lol jk ) any way stand close to the edge but before he hits u press a and roll under his legs then maybe hit him once to the edge and then puch him off =) ( if this does not work it may take a few tries… dont worry no one is perfect. )

you have to lead him to the sticky out part of the arena then roll underneath him at the last second, tap x to hit him a couple of times in that move where anika is on top of him then it will go to a bit where hel try and stamp on you then you tap x as fast as you can.. dont need the slow fast thing just fast as you can

u dont have 2 click fast on the PC.. i had done that.. but i never won that way…. the trick is to click according to the rythm of the sword icon that appears at that time… its gonna b a piece of cake..

TRUE SOLUTION
push warrior back to the edge of the stage where a scene will show him stumble, the try to counter-attack you with his foot stomp move.
press the sword button as fast as possible to show a different scene where warrior falls of the edge.

Took a number of tries to get it right, but I lured him to the edge, ducked under to get behind him, hit him a few times then the princess helped me push him off. To hit x fast enough to push him off I needed to do the trick where I lifted my arm and used arm from elbow to index finger, rather than just the finger, to press x. I guess the nerves are faster this way.
