I got stuck in this puzzle at the Royal palace in the latest PS3 version of Prince of Persia 2008. It took me about 2hrs to find a solution. You have to position the cranks in such a way that the black liquid passing through the flood gates. The first part on the left side was easy and the second part on the right side was bit difficult.
Here is the solution for the puzzle for both parts as shown in picture. Just use crank positions.
