Which linux command to show free disk space!
It is very important to keep track of linux hardrive, its mounts and free space available. All you have to type is df -h in the command line to see disk space in human readable format.
# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda5 7.9G 3.3G 4.3G 44% /
/dev/sda1 122M 12M 104M 10% /boot
/dev/sda8 45G 4.8G 38G 12% /home
/dev/sda6 1012M 34M 927M 4% /tmp
/dev/sda3 7.9G 3.6G 4.0G 47% /usr
/dev/sda2 9.9G 945M 8.5G 10% /var
/tmp 1012M 34M 927M 4% /var/tmp
This is a very handy command if you are linux beginner.
