Well! this may sound odd but i would like to share my experience with a door bell issue.
My home usually has two floors and i stay upstairs and my parents stay downstairs. The annoying problem was, when somebody comes to our house (like pizza man or postman), rings a door bell – the sound can be heard either of the floors.
I was desperately searching for a door bell (with wireless option) which rings on two places on same time but with same switch. So i went to a local shop and bought 2 pcs of wireless door bells from the same manufacturer. It came with 2 bells, some batteries and 2 switches.
I mounted those bells on the wall of both floors and I was shocked to find out, pressing one switch for both bells doesnt work and would only work with the corresponding switches. It observed later each piece works on different frequency! I got really frustrated and above all what a waste of time and money?
So, next time when you are buying a calling bell to mounted on multiple floors be sure it works on same frequency before leaving the local store.
