I have been in lot of trouble recently because my PC running intel core2duo processor going wild on overheating and system automatically shuts down. Upon restart i hear a music and the message flashes
Your system got automatically shutdown on overheating – please enter key to contine
This despite my PC has a internal fan plus 1 cabinet fan running. I monitored my cpu temperature with a free temperature monitoring software, which isĀ speed fan (freeware) and it shows up 85 centigrade, which i believe is hot. Whats even more interesting is when i play games the system hangs up and restarts suddenly. Even gmail loads up slow! Geesh!
It took me hours to figure that a loose fan on CPU causing all these mess. I quickly fixed all the fans and its loose ends and rebooted the system and the PC is working smoothly and now the temperature shows up as 47 centigrades as core temperature.

Wow! this is about 50% savings in overheating.
