Getting Adsense PIN by post is a nightmare!!!!

Anybody can setup new adsense account in no time and start showing ads, but the problem starts when verifying your account. You can show ads, accumulate earnings but really there is no point earning adsense income without fully verifying your account, only then the payments will be released.

Your payments will be put on hold, unless you complete the 2 verification tasks below and the difficult part is receiving adsense PIN mailer by post …

1. Adsense PIN

First your account must accumulate $10 or €10, only then PIN will be auto generated and sent to you. You have to verify enter Adsense PIN from the letter you received by post. Adsense sends it to you by regular postal mail and it may take 1-2 months to reach you. Sometimes it may not even reach you afterall and it has high changes of getting lost because it is lightweight and looks like postcard. That is when the nightmare starts for many people and you may as well may not qualify for adsense account.

You will have 3 chances to request PIN once in a month and 6 months overall to verify your PIN. If you dont enter correct PIN within 6 months, your adsense payments will be forfeited and will be paid back to publishers and google will show public service ads. So make sure you provide full valid address to your adsense account.

2. Bank Account Verification

You have to enter your bank account information for electronic withdrawals, if you are living in a country where google adsense supports electronic withdrawals. Just like paypal, you will see 2 small deposits appear in your bank account, which you will need to enter and verify. To get your first payment, your adsense account, the minimum payout is EUR 70 / USD 100. Please carefully read the Google Adsense Payments

Nowdays, it is very difficult to receive help by email from adsense, except auto responses and sometimes if you are lucky you can get help, if you post your question in adsense help forum

Keep in mind that, without fully verifying your adsense account, i wouldnt recommend running your ad campaign. Because if you cant verify your account, all the hard earned money would go in vain.

How to change country in Adsense?

If you moving to another country or relocating you will be thinking about receiving adsense payments to your new country.

The Good news is you can change, the country, address and payment info in your adsense account. Go to new adsense interface and under the settings, you will see the change country option. (if you are lucky)

The Bad news is if you are living in following countries, you cannot change the country. The only way is you have to close your existing adsense account and create a new one. Here are countries Google prohibits changing country:

Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian Territory, Philippines, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Yemen.

Few Tips to avoid getting banned from Good Adsense

I have been hearing so many horror stories about webmasters getting banned from adsense. I have outlined below the most important reasons for webmasters getting banned from google. Always be sure to read the adsense compliance policy before placing adsense on your website. Read it carefully and if need be twice or thrice.

(i) First Golden Rule

Do NOT click your own ads
Do NOT encourage your visitors to click on ads.

(ii) Limit of Ads

Dont put up your webpage with full of ads, infact adsense puts a cap on number of ads you display. You are allowed maximum of 3 ads, 3 link units and 2 search boxes at any page. No more allowed.

(iii) Know the Restricted Content

Do not use adsense in websites having:

Pornography, adult or mature content, gambling, casino related sites.

Websites related to racism or violence or hate speech

Hacking/cracking or any other illegal activity.

Sites selling Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content, prescription drugs, alcohol etc.

Sites related to replicas of designer goods

Sites selling coursework or student essays

Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails

Websites with content primarily in an unsupported language as prescribed by google adsense.

(iv) Place a Privacy Policy

Dont forget to place a privacy policy in your website as requested by google. Comply with what google says!

(v) Copyrights & Trademarks

Do NOT place adsense in sites containing content which infringes copyrights and trademarks, if not you will be issued a DMCA notice and ads will be disabled. This is very important which many people often forget the importance of trademarks and copyrights. Always check for trademark before buying a domain name.

(vi) Adsense ads with other Competitive Publishers

Be careful about using adsense along with other ad networks and it is always a good idea to ask google about it.

Google clearly states that:

In order to prevent user confusion, publishers may not display Google ads or search boxes on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colours as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure that these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

3 Simple Golden Rules to Increase your Adsense Income

Quite often website owners often forget these very simple tips, when it comes to using adsense in websites. Here are some the very simple golden tips, which may help you to maximize your adsense income.

1. Dont waste your ad impressions and place your ads only in pages where your visitors are likely to click your ads.

2. Blend your adsense ads along with the colors on your website.

3. Dont put too many ads on a single page and avoid making your site look like ad selling site. You can pick the size of the ad which suits your page accordingly.

I have seen many people getting success with wide leaderboard (728×90) and large rectangle (336×280) sizes. Some times instead of just showing text ads, the images look much much better. So next time when you create a ad, just make sure that you allow both image and text ads.

Adman plugin automatically disables the adsense ads?

Looks like i have a real headache by using adman plugin with wordpress to display adsense ads.

With every new post i do, very often i tend to forget to tick off, disable ads in this page option that comes with adman, as a result my adsense ads were disabled automatically and i lose revenue. It seems like i have no option at all to automatically enable the adsense option.

I really liked adman plugin to show adsense ads because of simplicity and easy to use, it turns out this particular setting is quite frustrating.

Update:

Just found the solution.

Open the plugin php file, look for this line, changed to checked = ’0′.

Tracking Adsense cheques sent by Bluedart for Indians!

yes, its official! Google has started sending the checks to Indian publishers who were waiting for past 2 weeks because of unexpected delays. Most publishers likely to receive their cheques by 14th May.

To track your adsense checks sent from google..

Go to bluedart site (http://bluedart.com), enter your payment number (without front zero) , then select track by reference and you should see the airway bill number. Note that down! Give a call to bluedart office with that airway bill no.

Google has emailed most indian publishers, that they would discontinue DHL (for secured checks) and Indian Postal Service (for Standard checks) and starting from May 2009, all the checks will be sent by Bluedart courier at no additional charge. In India Bluedart handles all domestic courier shipments, while DHL only handles international courier service. It is believed that all adsense checks will be sent from Google office in India.

It has been 7 May 2009 and many indian adsense publishers are still anxiously waiting for their checks to be delivered. Track by reference to adsense payment is also not working in Bluedart site.

Addressing the concerns for publishers from India, there has been a official response from google employee in the adsense support forum

AdSense publishers in India will receive standard delivery checks mailed via the local courier service Blue Dart for no additional charge. Checks mailed by Blue Dart should arrive within 10-30 days of the check date.

Tracking numbers may be available for Blue Dart payments. You can check to see if one is available by by clicking any Payment link in your Payment History page. Blue Dart tracking numbers will typically be visible by the 15th of any month and can be tracked on www.bluedart.com.

Blue Dart is not able to service all areas throughout India. If you live in a location they don’t service, your check will be sent by Registered Post and should reach you within 2-3 weeks of the mailing date.

Lets wait and watch!

How to stop adsense check and request reissue!

Stopping Adsense Cheque & Re-Issue

If you are adsense publisher and you have lost the check or havent received a check in time by standard or secured delivery, you can always place a stop request to check and google will credit back your earnings. But you will get that money only in the next payment cycle.

You can also stop the check and request re-issue if you have lost your check by chance.

Note: Before placing the stop request make sure that your check is not cleared! You can login to your adsense account and click on the details of payment and the check cleared date will appear by 10th of every month.

For Standard Delivery

As per adsense requirements, you can always place a stop request after 30 days of time (1month)

But It is a good idea to wait for atleast 40 days of time for standard mail delivery because of postal delays in certain countries (especially in india) there is a good chance of getting check delivered well after 1 month by ordinary mail. For example, if you see payment issue date of Jan 25 and you can request reissue by first week of march.

For Secured Delivery

As per adsense requirements, you can ask for re-issue if you havent received checks by 5th of every month. It would be a good idea to request re-issue after 10th of every month. Be sure to track your secured check before requesting a reissue.

Generally a tracking no will ONLY appear in your adsense account under payment details by first week of every month or after 5 days of payment issued date and be sure to track the shipment from DHL website. Key in tracking no and see the status of shipment.

Important: If you have already placed a stop request and suddenly you have got the check and deposited in the bank the check would be dishonored and by that time google would have stopped the check. So dont deposit in the bank if you have already placed the stop request.

How do i request re-issue?

1. Login to your adsense account.
2. Note down the payment no, payment date, amount in local currency by clicking on My account > payments > details.
3. Follow this link: Adsense Request check reissue
4. Key in your full name and adsense login email . Do not use any other email address.

After one day or so you will get an automated email from google that the process has been started.

How much time it takes to stop the check and credit back earnings?

It usually takes about 15 days for google to stop the check and credit back your earnings. check out Adsense Help Center for more information.

How do i know the check is stopped and earnings credit back?

You will usually see “Check stopped – Earnings credited back” in your account, if google has successfully stopped the check.

When do i receive the payment for stopped check?

You will ONLY get this payment added to your previous month earningsNEXT payment cycle. You will see the total outstanding balance in your adsense account.

Do adsense checks expire?

If you have forgotten about the check and if you havent cashed the check, the check would automatically expire after 6 months. If thats the case your earnings will be credited back and your adsense account will be placed on temporary hold asking you to change the address and select new form of payment. Just go through the steps and save the changes.

No Instant DHL tracking number for secured Adsense Checks!

yes, that is true! You will not get instant tracking code for adsense checks sent via secured delivery!

I was using secured delivery for the first time and i initially thought that the DHL tracking number will be immediately available as soon as you see payment details link. But NO!

You will only be able to see the tracking number shown in your adsense account by 5th of every month (Refer to: Adsense help) and by that time you should have received the dhl shipment.

TIP: Many people claim that there is another way to track your shipment in dhl website with just payment number. Go to DHL website, select track by shippers reference and input your payment number. You should be able to see the airway bill no and current status of your dhl shipment if sent by google. Get that airway bill no and key in to dhl home page tracking. Only with airway bill no, you will be able to trace it accurately.

Sometimes the status may not show as the shipment wouldnt have been picked up by dhl. In most cases the status will show up after 2-3 days of payment issued date.

Adsense checks automatically expire in 6 months!

Adsense checks automatically expire in 6 months, so dont forget to deposit your checks in your bank in time. There could also be a chance that you may have lost your cheque by mail or never received it. If thats the case, place the adsense stop check and reissue request with google.

The real danger of letting the checks expire is adsense thinks that your contact address could be expired one so your adsense account would be put on hold. To remove hold you will need to re-enter the address and select different form of payment.

So next time dont forget to place a re-issue request to google after 30 days (standard delivery) and 10 days (secured delivery) if you suspect checks have been undelivered to you.
