Dubai gives 96 hour transit is great for travellers who want to visit UAE for less than 4 days. You can apply for this visa at emirates website only before 14 days of your trip and pay USD 70.85.
You must have confirmed air tickets to a 3rd destination through emirates or any other airline, hotel booking, and stop over must be more than 8 hours. Processing time takes about 3-4 working days by UAE authorities
You will only qualify for transit visa if you have
- Transit time in UAE more than 8 hours through dubai
- Hotel accommodation confirmation
- Confirmed flight ticket (any airline) with destination towards 3rd country such as US, Europe, Australia etc..
- Maximum 4 day stays allowed (96h). This is counted in days. Careful! Your First day of arrival (until 12 midnight) counted as Day 1. Overstays are subjected to penalty and fine.
If you have booked a ticket with emirates, you can apply for 96h transit visa through their website ONLY before 14 days of your travel date. That is because transit “visa validity” is 14 days
Make sure your passport is valid more than 6 months. Citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq, Niger, Somalia, or Yemen are not be eligible for a 96 hour transit visa.
All UAE visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issue to enter Dubai, except the 96-hour visa, which is valid for 14 days from the date of issue to enter Dubai.
