After successfully winning the hearts of many with the previous models of Dzire, Maruti is now ready with the latest upgrade in this segment with 3rd generation model of Dzire. The official date of the launch is fixed to 16th of May this year, but the company has already revealed the specifications and other details about this new model. Maruti has tried best to add new bits to provide this new model of Dzire a completely different variant for Indian Buyers. You can observe the newly added headlamps, bonnet, fenders, and the hexagonal grille which are inspired from the new Swift. The point to be noticed here that some features are only available when you are going with the top model otherwise there are fewer surprises in the Basic variant.
The bumper with fog lamps and 3-part air intake comes with chrome accents which provide a new look to this well known Sedan cars. From sides, some superficial changes are easy to notice. At the back of Maruti Dzire, you are provided with new taillights with LED units, molded boot spoiler and reworked shark fin antenna. This new variant of Dzire will be available in India in two new color options including new brown shade and Oxford Blue.
Interior of New Dzire:
The interior this new upgraded Sedan comes with beige and the dual tone black color scheme. There has been an apparent change in the quality and finish of the material used for the interior. The Interior gives a more premium feel inside. Regarding space, the cabin is more convenient allowing better legroom and slightly expanded space at the back. The top variant of New Dzire is covered with touch screen infotainment system from Maruti itself. The system is loaded with the features like Apple carplay Android Auto, Navigation, mirrorlink, etc. The kit also includes Additional features such as redesigned seats and rear AV vent. Regarding safety, the latest model is equipped with standard ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat restraints and dual front airbags.
Technical Specifications of New Dzire
Do not expect too much when you are looking for technical specs of this model. There is nothing new with the engine and power as they are similar to the Second generation model of Dzire. The petrol variant of new Dzire comes with a 1.2-litre K-Series unit tuned to produce 83.1bhp at 6000rpm and torque of 115Nm at 4000rpm. The Diesel variant will carry power from Fiat sourced 1.3-litre oil burner which is good enough for 74bhp at a torque of 190Nm at 2000rpm. Maruti has worked on the looks of this new upgrade without changing too much in the engine and other essential specifications.
